At CES in Las Vegas (January 2010) the French company Parrot introduced a new flying machine for entertainment, and maybe for other purposes in the future.
It is a drone allowing to explore new experiences, mixing video, game and real world thanks to augmented reality technology.

The gear is an quadricopter fitted with 4 propeller engines. A webcam is located in front of the drone.
You can control the drone through your Ipod, fitted with a dedicated and downloadable application.
Thanks to the integrated Wifi and the cam, you can follow the path of the gear.
Now imagine you want simulate a battle in the air against another Quadricopter the pilot of which is located elsewhere; you can do it
with the AR application which can surimposed informations in real time, on the Quadricoper itself visible on your Ipod screen.
